Located near the Portuguese Parliament, XXL has welcomed politicians, artists and public figures since 1994. Most would know the restaurant as XL – The second X was introduced when, last November, renowned Portuguese chef Olivier da Costa and Vasco Gallego, his friend and XL founder, agreed that it was time to move into a new decade. Now, the menu features some timeless favourites such as soufflés, alongside Duck Magret with Port wine reduction and lockdown dory fillet with Olivier salad. It’s classic but delicious fare, best enjoyed with a glass of red wine in hand.
